When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about being set.

Locked In

When a door closes, try to re-open it.
If it does not yield, look for another door.
If you can't find one, look for a window.
If there is no window, poke a hole in the wall
and make one.
There is always a way out.

Photography is an art of observation.
It has little to do with the things you see
and everything everything to do with the
way you see them.

On the Road

The difference between a path and a road is not only the obvious one. A path is little more than a habit that comes with knowledge of a place. It is a sort of ritual of familiarity. As a form, it is a form of contact with a known landscape. It is not destructive. It is the perfect adaptation, through experience and familiarity, of movement to place, it obeys the natural contours, such obstacles as it meets it goes around

Clouds

After the Storm

5:01 μ.μ. Confessions of an Amateur Photographer 0 Comments

Life may not be pretty but it's always beautiful. We may only see the ugliness on the surface. The shit that only the world chooses to notice. But, if we dig deep, if we get to the heart of life, where there's no pain or fear, where we can just be who we are and love freely without judgement, it's really beautiful. Just remember, the storm doesn't last forever. It can scare you, it can shake you to your core. But it never lasts. The rain subsides, the thunder dies, and the winds calm to a soft whisper. And that moment after the storm clouds pass, when all is silent and still, you find peace. Quiet, gentle peace.

While we are guarding the country,
we must accept being the guardian of the finest ethics.
The country needs it and we must do it.
